lyrics

even the good can be guilty of being gluttonous and filthy
and going for greed to the gallows
their grimace does fade when their ill-gotten gain turns to gold
in graves dug so shallow
society's ills have been frightfully instilled
and for that I presume no one honest
I wish nobody well and I'll see them in hell
when I fall prey to the fate I was promised

we panic and beg while they laugh and they spit
it's gutters or gallows, cease and desist
too poor for warfare just balling our fists
it's gutters or gallows, starve or resist

the cruel and rich gave us gruel and grit
but to settle for such felt so foolish I quit
there's a wall between classes and we laid the brick
we clamor and climb til we're tired and sick

if gold buys glory and i never thrive
it's the end of my story and will to survive
but if freedom and smiles are things you can buy
start boiling the royalty employing the divide

my lust for indulgence now tightens its grip
few words of kindness depart from my lips
this apocalyptic rottenness has taught us all of risk
my stomach and pockets are bottomless pits

my words will at last turn to gurgles and gasps
I'll squirm and collapse, turn purple and pass
more than just hunger from my guts will grow
green grassy gables where my flesh decomposed
